Hi got a GO Q6600 and as you can no doubt guess I want to overclock it on my evga 680i

Any way I have put the FSB volt at 1.4 and it has booted to windows but when I try ot go any higher it doesnt seem to boot. all the rest fo my volts are on auto as I am nto sure what to set them to.

Can you give me a starting voltage to set for the CPU voltage ??? and then I can work my way up through the diffrent volts. I am more than happy for some one to give me some volts to try at a round 3.4ghz as well.

my temps at the minute at just under 3ghz are fine so no doubt have loads more overclocking room left yet.

temps no higher than 36c

ok mate here we go

EVGA motherboard 680i

2 x 1gb Team X-treme memory 1000mhz

650w power supply

8800 GTS.

tuniq Tower cooler on my CPU (not sure how you spell it)

I currently have all voltages on auto, manged to get the PC to boot at 2.9ghz by upping the FSb voltage to 1.4 and with all other voltage on auto. my temps are still really low thou so i want to higher to get to about 3.3-3.4Ghz. the CPU voltage thou confuses me so can you reocomend a voltage to set it to and then i will start to higher it up if my PC becomes unstable.

I am not linking my overclock to my memory so i would like to get my CPU stable first then try to sought my memory out. it can run at 1000mhz but I have it set at 800mhz for now just so I can sought my CPU out and no its not my memory causing any problems.

on most of the times I have tried playing with the voltages the PC seems to boot then as its about to load vista it goes to a blue screen. is this telling me something ?? ie voltage to low or to high etc
