Can u Partition a Seagate Momentus XT 750GB Hybrid?

Question in the title?, I know u cannot partition, format and scandisk a full SSD but as the Seagate Momentus XT 750GB Hybrid SATA-II 2.5" 7200RPM 32MB is Half and Half, I'm woundering if the NANDflash part of the drive imposes restriction?.

My understanding is that If you use Defrag,Format,Partition or scandisk..... It kills the SSD??, That my under standing of it, So if you are running the windows 7 or any other OS and you install an SSD, you have go through a funny install procedure to disable function within OS.

That's my understanding of SSD's.

Pen:confused:

Win7 manages all that for you,you can format and partition ssd's I've done it,

The major no no is defragging, you can do it,it won't kill the drive but chances are it will degrade it fast,win7 disables defrag automatically for you when you install an ssd,Idk how it works with a hybrid drive but the ssd part might be hidden in windows like it is for a caching ssd so defrag won't happen
