Ahah but I detailed a method for [FnG]magnolia to be able to use as many different smilies as he needs. Therefore there is no requirement for them to be added.

Remember Kelllleeeeee? She used many many different smilies, none of them native to the forums.

There is no such thing on this forum, there is the forums viewpoint and that is the correct one

Besides I can't stand forums that are littered with ridiculous and annoying animated smileys if you can't convey want you want to say in words it's probably best not to bother!

But surely this is counter intuitive. If mods force people to use there own smilies, they have no control over them, and you end up with the ridiculous smilies. If mods were to add a few new ones to the interface, everyone will be happy.

The fact that it's not NECESSARY for more smilies to be added (since we can use our own) is not an argument for them not to be added. If a few choice ones were put in such as :/ it would make things easier for us and keep people happy.

I don't know much about how the mods would go about adding them but I can't imagine it would take much effort.
