After a bit of playing about this is about as good as I can get for £700. The only bits im not too sure about is the Mobo and PSU, could I do any better for £700?

Thanks.

I will be clocking it, would be silly not to but wont be too bothered about that side of things. Not sure if that spec warrents the extra £50. Just want to move on from this 2800+ Sempron / 7600 GS system im stuck with at the moment!

Would the DS3 be a better alternative than the Abit FP-IN9? I cant quite forge an opinion on the FP-IN9 after reading reviews etc.

The DS3P is supposed to be an excellent board, especially at that price, and seems to be the current mobo of choice around here.

Getting that RAM is well worth the extra if overclocking. That CPU should be very overclockable (or the E6420) You can probably drop back down to the 320MB GTS to save a bit more money, depending on what resolution you'll be gaming at?

EDIT: I'd be tempted to swap the PSU to the Corsair 520W one too - it'll easily power that rig and more.

if you want that chipset then this seems to be the better board Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650

but imho sli boards are a waste of money i wish i had got the ds3 over my evga 680i as single gpus are a lot less hassle and the ds3 is maybee the best ocing board for c2d

for gaming i think the chip i specced, clocked over 3 ghz, is no diff to a e6600 for gaming performance hence youll be able to afford a better gpu

also that ram clocks better than the geil which as documented on here and in my expereance runs out of puff at 900 mhz

Thanks for the advice guys, will go for the DS3 and the E6320 then I think, I assume the PSU is more than up to the job and the PC-7 is big enough to house it all? Cheers.

Looks sweet, though I still reckon the ballistix RAM stinka linked to is worth the extra. ;) Have a look around the forums and see what people have been able to do with it.

Yeah I forgot about the RAM when creating that spec, will look around and maybe change it.
