I'm looking for a motherboard (Core 2 Duo) and GPU combo for a HTPC build, but I want something that's near enough silent. I'm not looking to overclock or to play games on the system, and the CPU will handle HD content well enough, so I don't specifically need hardware HD acceleration - although that would be a bonus I guess.
I'll need DVI on the GPU so I can use a DVI to HDMI cable to a HDTV, and I'll need a motherboard with decent sound output (7.1) via optical cable. I've also done too much faffing around with ATI drivers on HDTV's the past few weeks with the Abit Fatal1ty motherboard, so I'd rather go with nVidia to be honest.
Any recommendations? I don't want to spend too much, as I was originally going to go for the Abit Fatal1ty until my recent troubles.
EDIT:- Ooops, forgot to say I need a mATX motherboard.
