They are probably putting the 640mb version down to be safe. Also, the recommended requirements could mean a fairly high resolution, one that the 320mb would be bad for anyway. So i think for 1280x1024 and below, the 320mb version will be fine.

What sort of OS gets maximum rating? I have Vista 64 Ultimate and it gives me 2 bars lower than max.

i couldn't even pass the minimum test. it doesn't like my 2.6ghz single core cpu. i'm still getting the game.
