Can you run/record with a GoPro using a Powerbank?

Looking at a GoPro Session Hero 4 as a rear facing camera on my K1300S motorcycle. Ideally looking to have it running for 2 to 3 hour rides. I currently use a Sena 10c Evo helmet mounted bluetooth comms unit with a built in 4k video camera for front facing footage. This will only last around an hour recording at 4k on the inbuilt battery but you can hook it up to a powerbank via USB cable and it will literally record all day long drawing the juice from the powerbank.

Is it possible to do something similar with a GoPro, using a USB cable and a powerbank? Or perhaps using a USB cable hooked up to the auxiliary power points on my bike?

Cheers.

I've done something similar with a GoPro clone in the past. Had it in a Lego train carriage, connected to a powerbank, streaming to a PC monitor plus got it to record as well once. Video here for entertainment.

Many times I have used a power bank while doing time lase on my Hero4 Black.
Of course you can use the protected case, so I purchased a plastic frame case so I can attached the camera to GoPro ego system mounts & clamps.
