Hello all,

My kid has saved up £400 for a gaming pc. It’s gotta be a good all rounder if possible? He plays pretty much everything from Xcom2 to call of duty.

So it’s a challenge to see what you guys come up with, he doesn’t need a keyboard or monitor and I suppose he’ll use the free windows 10.

Also doesn’t need a hdd as I’ve got a spare 2tb one he can have, but if you can squeeze in a cheap SSD for the operating system that’ll be a bonus.

Many thanks

Edit

The best I can come up with is the following

Core i5-6500 3.2GHz
8GB DDR4 RAM
Pny gtx 1050ti
120gb SSD
2tb hdd
Win 10

For £390 is that any good?

Im assuming the CPU, RAM and GPU would be second hand yes?

For that budget yes you would be better off going second hand and the i5-6500 would be a very capable CPU, 1050ti is great for 1080p gaming and 8Gb of RAM should be plenty to start off with.

what exactly is the £390 for just CPU, RAM, GPU?

£390 basically buys a second hand pre built pc from gumtree the only thing I’ll be adding is the 2tb hdd
