Hello there.

I am currently a year into my 18 month contract with 3 mobile. I find the service absolutely useless and the phone too (NEC 338)

Is it possible to cancel the contract early? If so, do you think i would get charged?

I have sent an email to 3 directly but I got an automated email back saying they are experiencing high amounts of mail at the minute due to the events in Mumbai and will reply to me as soon as they can.

Thanks for any help.

Mark.

I think you will get charged the remainder of your contract... My ex tried in vain for months to get her contract from 3 terminated but I don't think she ever managed to without just paying it off.

I'd be quite interested in hearing the result... I am 13 months into my 18 month contract and although I am happy with the service, I too am in need of a new phone since the one I have now is starting to crash quite often and keeps dropping signal for some reason (it used to work perfectly).. So I'm hoping they will allow me to upgrade my phone within the next month or so

Yes, you can cancel early but you would be liable for the rest of the contracted (6 months worth of) payments.

If you really want out drop it to the lowest tariff, then cancel and pay it off, but with 6 months left that won't be cheap.

Crap.

I think I will have to suffer the remainder of the contract :( When 3 reply to my question, I will let you know what the outcome is.

Thanks guys.

Mark.
