Cancelling my contract

Hi sorry for the stupid question, however if my contract runsw out in December do I have to ring up and cancel it soon to give 30 days?

It is with o2 by the way. :)

Yeah you do, my contract ran out in august, but was on a rolling contract thereafter. I had to contact them about canceling and had to give the 30 days notice.
 
You'll have to give 30 days notice and as far as I remember you cannot actually give notice until the end of your 12 months.
So a 12 month contract usually actually runs to 13 - alas all in the small print when you signed up :)
 
Rang up 02 and are they for real?

Firstly they tried to do me a deal on a data package because I said I wanted to leave for web n walk. So they came back with an offer for a whole 4mb of data. :rolleyes:

Then further to that I have to send in writitng a letter of cancellation, I have never had to do this before. :confused:

Thats total rubbish, your contract is 12 months long, no longer. You can give your notice from the day you take out the contract.
