Just picked up my £11 35mm film body.

Obviously any results will have to wait a while, first have to get some film for starters, then theres developing and scanning, which might prove difficult since I have no scanner.

Just 2 comments though.

1. 20mm is WIIIIIIIIIDE on a full frame. I want a 5D now.

2. An old, consumer, slightly dirty, £11, film body has a better viewfinder than our new £1000 supposedly semi-pro digital cameras. They ought to do something about that.

Had a fiddle with the controls. One thing I noticed, is that although in Tv and Av you get an exposure level scale, it disappears in manual. (you know, the whole -2...1...0...1...2+ thing in the viewfinder and display.)

Not that its a big issue as I will be using one of my digitals as a very expensive meter when shooting film :)

Ah just realised, theres a small - and + sign inside an arrow type shape. The correct exposure is when both the - and + shape appear.

Another doubt, when you load a roll of film, how does the number of shots remaining stay on the display even when you switch off, in fact even when you take the battery out. Another small battery somewhere?
