Hi

I'm looking to buy the 24-70L to replace my EF-S 17-85. I know the EF-S is optimised for the crop sensor of the 60D but what I need to know is will 24mm on the 24-70 be the same as on the EF-S?

Or will the 24-70 be a lot less wide angle as it is not an EF-S lens

advice appreciated

Cheers Derek

Sory, what I meant was will there be a difference between the 2 lens' at the same zoom settings (quality aside)

basically will 24mm or 50mm etc appear the same on both lenses? Or does the EF-S lens negate the crop factor

Cheers guys

Order placed. Picking it up tomorrow.

Anyone want to buy and EF-S 17-85?

How much could I ask do you think?

Spoke to LCE and they offered me £100 which seems a little light for a 1 year old lens

£800 new? where's that from then?

Seen a few overseas doing it for £800 but they add import duty to that.

I've been saving my tesco clubcard points and converted to J****** + a load of their vouchers for xmas an Birthday otherwise no way I could have afforded it.

I'll miss my 17-85 though, it was my first lens and I learned a lot from using it
