Canon 50mm 1.4

I used off camera flash, I had picked up some old 430EZ's. It was still difficult to stop light spill taking the shot in the front room. The second shot I was testing using a black shower curtain, which made things easier. I picked up black, grey and white shower curtains for a Tenner.

So is there no way of getting this affect without flash?

Just thought I'd point out, in case no one has noticed that a certain high street photography store, starting with J, has this lens on special offer for £189.

You'd be mad not to buy it at that price if you're looking for a 50mm lens and want to save a fair few quid!

their online store has this lens at £285.95 with a wopping saving of £13.05 reduced from £299.00

Well I did say it was a special offer. It was definitely that price yesterday as it was on that hot deals site. Someone posted it on TP at some point too, in the equipment section.

Looks like it may have been a mistake as it was £113.05 off yesterday. Maybe someone put an extra 1 in by mistake.

A third off seems a massive reduction.....

Congrats to anyone who managed to wangle one at that price.

It was that price the day before too, because I was trying to decide between that and the 50mm 1.8. I ended up going with the nifty in the end but it looks like I missed out on a bargain. :o

I hope someone can answer this asap :P

Is it possible to do multiple exposure or double exposure on a 400D??

I wanted to get an image of me looking Left - Right - Forward

For my self portraits atm its fail :D

thats what i said over on TP, smacks of pricing error to me..

but well done to those that took advantage and got one :)

Not quite looking left and right but a flat head :p

You should be able to blend 3 shots together if you're steady, have a left right and centre.

How did you achieve this?

What gear did you use?

& You make me want to buy Lego :D Where did you get all the storm troopers from?

I shot that with my Olympus, back then was a 25mm pancake and an E620. Gear don't matter as long as your kit can set the exposure the same for a sequence of shots, then PS blend them by eye. Not perfect but good enough as an experiment :)

As for little stormies, ebay is my friend.

Thanks i take it thats where AE lock comes in then?

i've looked on ebay for lego men! Geez expensive stuff :P

There's usually bargains, just keep your ear to the ground and check often :)

I didn't use AE lock, I shot in manual and I literally turn myself so the light stays roughly the same.
