Are those numbers you just plucked out of the air?


Looks like the 5Dx is imminent, should see it released in the next two weeks.

The only number I did pluck out of thin air was the 1/100 shutter speed needed to avoid blur for the D700. That number could be any number as it changes from person to person, from lens to lens, from shot to shot, it's simply an example (which is why I stated "for example".
The consequent 5Dii and D800 shutter speeds needed to avoid recording blur were derived from their respective increase in linear magnification over the D700, and this is just simple maths.
