I'm currently looking at a few L-glass options. I've noticed that you can buy the Canon cashback vouchers on that there t'internet.

But if I get one, can I only use it to get cashback if I buy the lens at an official high street shop? I've noticed a few ebay sellers that have the 100-400mm L for around £900 new, so as long as they issue a receipt will it be ok?

Ta :D

You need a photocopy of the receipt plus the barcode from the box.

Only proviso is that the lens is bought in the EU.

But do they only recognise a receipt from an official shop? What's the limit?

also you do not need to buy the vouchers, you can fill in this form and get a booklet for free :)

i recieved mine a few weeks and have used it for my 17-40l

Ta, i've just ordered one. But can I use it with any retailer as long as they give me a receipt or invoice?

I would think if you bought an import or off ebay (probably imports too) then you wouldnt be able to use the voucher.

only way to find out for sure is to ask canon.

It's not an import, it's a UK seller, but i'm not sure whether they can provide an official invoice...

you need to provide a photocopy of the reciept and some info from the origional box when you send off your voucher to canon

i`m pretty sure they will check the serial number on whatever item your claiming on and if it comes back as anything other than legit then you might not get the cashback

this is only what i`m guessing

you could always take the gamble if the item your buying is very cheap anyways :)

I guess since you send a copy of the barcode off the lens box that that prevents people for claiming twice for the same lens. So hopefully an Ebay purchase should be ok :)
