Just bought one of these bad boys which will hopefully keep me going for a while. Upgrading from a rather basic Kodak CX7530 which served me really well but it's time to move on.

So, FAO S3 IS owners, post your tips/experiences here! :D

Off to a safari park on Saturday so hopefully will be posting a few pics
 
My advice would be to have a good play with the camera before you go anywhere, there are a LOT of settings that can have a dramatic effect on how the photos turn out.

Leave Image Stabalizer on as well, at a safari park you will be using the full focal length of the lens, it will save a LOT of camera shake but you will still need a fairly steady hand.

Supermacro mode is amazing as well, doubt that will be much use at a safari park though unless you actually manage to get inside a Lions mouth I don't see you using it ;)

Aren't these cameras supposed to be so easy a monkey can use them? so........ :p
