Canon RAW files and Photoshop?

Hey guys

Having some trouble opening RAW files (.cr2) with photoshop -- getting some type of error? Searched the forums and seen that others have got the error too.

Im searching the net and have seen that its a problem, I was just wondering if there is any way to solve it? I've tried the updates and I still cannot get it to work.

Is CS3/CS4 the same or do .CR2 work with them versions of Photoshop?

Took a few RAW files, and to find I can't open them at the moment is quite frustrating lol!

Any input appriciated. Thanks.

Newer versions of PS come with updated versions of the raw plugin (so it should support mode cameras).

You could also try this.

It doesn't work with all Canon's though, I know my 450d is one of them.

You need to install Camera Raw 3.7(latest version that is supported in CS2)
If you have a newish camera, it may not be supported by camera raw 3.7, so you will need the DNG converter as well and convert your .cr2 files to .dng
