can't decide on graphics card for new build

If it's from a reputable etailer, then yes, the phantom is worth it. The Gigabyte card I linked above is also a good choice

its very reputable so should be ok. Is this a better option than the others?

as for the PSU do i need to upgrade or will the one i have suggested be ok? do i need to SLI/crossfire? if i did upgrade it would be to http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...id=123&subcat=

how much would a Z77 motherboard be?

I maybe a bit of a Gigabyte fan, but common sense and the price says the KFA2 has the edge (until the price goes back up)

I disagree, for £20 I'd pick the card which seems to be the better clocker and has a years more warranty. The cooler is one that has been tried and tested on many cards, one that's able to tame a 480!

TL;DR - £20 for another years warranty, IMO, worth it

That XFX550w PSU is fine for a single GTX670.

Its still between the MSI (saving money) or the KFA2

Your paying for a overclock and a custom cooler.

If you want to save money with stock speeds and stock cooler, the MSI makes sense as it has a slight overclock, 3year warranty.

Be warned, some have been complaining due to noise of the reference coolers, this is ofcourse, very dependant on the person

Is there any difference between the short PCB and the long one?

one's short, the other's long :p

Other than that, not really

is the £24 difference between the MSI and KFA2 justified in terms of gaming such as B3 and skyrim (high settings) will the custom cooler be quieter as that would be a big draw for me, i'm hoping it will be a fairly quiet machine.

should i bother with the z77 motherboard? will that still work well with the i5 2500k?

Good choice, the reference pcb editions (short) appear to get a bit hot, from benches/ reviews the ex oc kfa2 and gigabyte windforce appear to be best bang for buck
