Can't decide whether to upgrade or not, opinion?

Damn just seen sapphire 7970 for £343, wtf? But its the reference one and I'm waiting for the lightning to go to £399.

Since you can play most things at decent quality I'd say wait a few months and wait for prices to go down, win win.

I have had 0 issues with NVIDIA drivers, so would recommend a 680. The lowest I have seen the frames drop is to 50 and this is just for a second or two, while a big explosion is happening. The average I would say is 85 and this is not running OC'd.

If money is the issue, it might pay to wait or even the 7970 @ £360 is a great price. You are on AMD drivers, so you know what is what.

I am talking FPS on 64 MP btw

That's more the FPS i was expecting. As long as the mins dont go to 30 or so I'd be happy :)

Yep a 3 slot beast of a card. When more chips are available, then prices will drop but as your card copes well, then no reason to be in a hurry. Money burns a whole in my pocket so it was buy now or spend it on summit else.

Wait. So a 680 can run BF3 at 120FPS?

You've got more chance of being handcuffed to a ghost.

There's no need to be rude. I was under the impression that a gtx680 is capable of 120fps in bf3 @ 1080 res. My apologies to the OP for my misinformation if this is not the case.
