Hi All,

I am the (kind of) proud owner of a western digital mybook world 1tb single disk edition (white light)

running Windows 7 64bit and cannot see this drive on the network...

well kind of...

in the network and sharing centre i see it listed, in itunes i see it listed, but any attempt to browse using \\mybookworld or its ip \\xx.xx.xx.5

plus any share name is just throwing me an error that the network pathis not found,

Works fine on my windows 7 32bit laptop

Can anybody enlighten me? i've tried disabling all firewalls, even tried the secpol.msc NTLM fix and still cant see it, pulling my hair out!!

i can access it via web, and ping and have been through and configured, even resetted it to factory just to test. going through single router (belkin vision N1)

Thanks,

Ash

solved by myself, re-enabling the TCP/IP Helper service in windows 7 seemed to do the trick,

i followed an srticle on which services to disable and just checked what i had running,

woop!!
