Hi

I am attempting to reinstall Win XPP on my HP nx6310. I need to download the hard drive drivers to put on an install CD, but the only drivers I can find on the HP website are .exe files but I need .inf files for nLite.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Phil

On nlites site it say this,
'My drivers are exe files! How do I integrate them?
It's only possible with extractable drivers. Extract that exe file with right click and choose Extract To... (you can use Winrar for that). After extraction find folder with INF file(s) in it and select any of them.'
just downloaded an audio .exe file and you can do it, if after extraction you ctrl+f to bring up the search and type in .inf hopefully you'll find them.

use 7zip to extract the drivers from the exe, or run the exe and browse to the temp folder, they'll be in there (or it'll ask you where to extract them to)

Hi Guys

Thanks for your replies. I have done what you said, but after extraction, I am left with a single file which creates a floppy disk - and I don't have a floppy drive.

Thanks

Phil

I'm guessing this is the file you need?
'Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver
5.5.0.1035 A
16 Mar 2006 0.59mb'

If it is, i've downloaded the file put it onto a floppy and copied the files from the floppy onto my ftp space.

Theres two lots on there a zipped folder and loose files, upto you which you want.

If that isn't the right file that you need shout and i'll redo it. :)
