Trying to forward a port for use with bittorrent.

Following the instructions for my D-Link DSL-G624T to the letter and it just isn't working.

I create the rule, add it to the applied rules list and hit apply. This apparantly should work but upon testing the port, it doesn't. The interface does say 'You need to save settings and reboot for changes to take effect' so I try that. Except when it has rebooted all my settings are gone. The rules I just created have vanished and the port is still blocked.

What on earth am I doing wrong here?

you need to forward the ports in the "virtual server" section

secondly don't use anything other than internet explorer to change the settings or they wont save, don't ask me why but they don't. i found out the hard way

that should be it, sorted :)

I figured I needed to use IE a while ago and everything ive been changing in the virtual server menu, like I said, doing everything correctly to the letter. I have no idea why it refuses to work.

Hi

Not used the 624 but on the older 504T you had to go to the Tools menu and then System Commands to get the router to actually save the details before you rebooted. Might be worth checking if this still needs to be done on the 624T
