can't play bf2142 nothern stike - modifieid version?

i have had northern strike installed for ages but haven't actually played any of the levels as imo they are the worst ones. reading the awards the other day and some are for paying northern strike so figured i'd play some levels, but the trouble is i can't as when it loads and of the maps i get booted striahgt away for having a modified version even though i don't

have done a search and nothing is coming up so hoping maybe you guys could help me out with this?

I had this problem ages back when I tryed playing 2142 again. Turns out you gotta repatch after installing the expansion to get rid of the error.
