As I previously posted in another thread (more about Vegas).....

We are off to the Canyon, and I'm ready to book the tour, so looking for advice/previous trip goers etc.

The tour I'm leaning towards at the moment, is by "Papillon" and is the "Grand Voyager Expedition"

Bus from Vegas Hotel to Boulder city
Flight by plane over hoover damn, lake mead etc to West Rim
Heli to bottom of rim
pontoon boat 25min down river
Heli back to top
bus to guana point
bbq meal
Then flight back to Vegas

Thing is, we need something more than just a heli flight as we have 2 blind people who want to actually "feel" the scale of the canyon so hence landing and boats are a good idea etc.

Anyone else have any tour company recommendations etc?

That is to the west canyon ( west rim ) not what is generally regarded as the real Grand Canyon ( south/north rim )

you cannot fly below the rim of the main canyon in a helicopter

Just trying to find something that offers as much of the experience for all of us, ie 2 that can see and appreciate the sights, and 2 that need to sense the scale etc hence the landing/boat ride.

Papillon seem to offer the best range of tours, with some firms only doing single flights etc. Any other tour firms you'd recommend?
