Why didnt you just pay the £60 in the first place, and then sue the mechanic for the money?

As parking tickets are just financial penalties the courts can simply charge the registered keeper and it's up to you to get the money back off whoever was driving. This contrasts with speeding penalties, which potentially carry penalty points and even a custodial sentence, so they have to charge the actual person responsible.

take the money from someone else, trip over a raised path stone or claim from some other free place the tax payer is coughing up for, u can easily suffer depression and need time off work for it and thats why u pay national insurance. u may feel bad about it at first but unless u want to take it up the rear u have no other choice. remember, dont fight the system, use it for ** own needs.
