Car covers

I'm not sure with red, but something with decent UV protection would do you a favour. But having no clear coat, at least your paint is always salvageable if it does fade :)

Head over to DetailingWorld and ask there - there will be someone who has a red car without clear-coat who will undoubtedly be able to make a better, more informed recommendation than I can.

I haven't 100% done a deal yet because I'm waiting to see what happens with work on Wednesday but when I'm back to work I'll be picking up a red Monaro or VXR8 one way or another. I'm fairly sure I can get it for about £15800 though based on the fact it hasn't been undersealed.

Nice one enjoy that :)

No offence to the Monaro or VXR8 but to 99.9% of the public it will just appear as 'normal red saloon thing' to them. Covering it would certainly make me interested. I'd just get really good cleaning stuff.

Was considering getting a car cover for my SLK, but after reading this thread and a number of people mentioning the same concerns that I already have (i.e. making it appealing to thieves), I think I will avoid covering the car. Will just wax it more often :)
