I live in quite a narrow street with only enough room for one cars width. Last weekend about 1am my wife was woken up by a noise. The next day we saw a car abandoned just down the street with it's front right wheel arch completely smashed in. After a bit of head scratching trying to work out what had happened it appeared that they had somehow managed to drive into the corner of our stone garden wall near the gate.
As there appeared to be little damage to our wall bar a few scuff marks. I brushed it off and thought oh well at least our wall is alright
The car was left down the street for a couple of days before someone appeared to come and recover it. Anyway somehow during this recovery someone else on the street managed to drive into the back of this car after being blinded by the sun!
I've now heard that the person who originally crashed into our wall is trying to claim insurance for the damage to the front of the car from the lady who drove into the back of them!
Is there anything I need to do? Am I somehow liable in this? (I don't see how)
