Car insurance - what a chore.

As above really - it's taken me most of the day giving my details to all and sundry to get my obscene renewal down from £1,500 to £1,015.

Which I still find disgusting for such a slow car but I doubt I can do any better than that :(

That is all.

You spent "most of the day" to save almost £500.00.

Stop whining.

Postcode makes a massive difference, and for the reply above I think is quite a snobby reply saying high insurance must live in a rough area...

I live in Newcastle and pretty much every postcode is rated e, f or refer. Some of us aren't as fortunate to be born in a low risk area.

Mine this year on a BMW 125d 27k value, fully comp, me and my wife (both 24). £1,600. Refer postcode rating.

I got my renewal quote through the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Last year's insurance cost nearly £600 and the renewal price I've been quoted is £476.

I'm at the age now where being another year older doesn't make much difference at all and already had 10 years no claims last year so not sure why it's come down so much. I won't complain though :)
The quote is about £20 cheaper than anything I've found on comparison sites as well.
