I went away for 2 weeks on holiday, car was ok before then, I returned and a few days later the car smelled as though something has died inside, I have had the car about 2-3 months (st220).

I have cleaned out the car, under the seats etc and can't find anything.

The smell is really really bad, bordering on undriveable.

merlin borrowed it to dump someones body but I think he got sidetracked on the way and never got round to actually dumping it.

OT: How come you have an ST220 *and* a 530? You seem to have about 800 very similar cars :D

Yeah, I just always wanted one for the lulz,
although it's not as much lulz as the clio which was chronically bad and awesome at the same time, I regret selling my mx5 though :(.

Note to all, don't get emotionally attached to your cars.

Bacteria in the Air con matrix type of stink?

Lob a air con cleaner bomb in there and clear it out.

I once spilt something on the carpet in my old car, so I dabbed it up and gave it a clean.. 2 weeks later it STUNK, so I peeled the carpet back and there was stuff growing.. It needed serious cleaning.

the seats have got wet and not dried properly?

only way out of that would be to wash it all again, let it dry properly and use fabreeze
