Hi everyone,

Need a little bit of help, as i'm in search of a set of Green Bucket seats but it seems no where in the UK sells them, anyone know other than this?

I can find them in America such as here but they say that they won't ship to the UK, what would the easiest way to do this be?

Many thanks,

Andy

Is there really any need in a 1.0 litre Lupo? Surely it will cause more hassle than good and be a real nightmare to set up with harnesses etc?

He needs them for the cornering g-force.

Nice sig btw :)

You don't have to use harnesses in conjunction with buckets. A friend of mine had his done by a little old man in Swansea in black and blue. He did a very good job and I think it cost about £150 for the front and rear seats.

Have you got a relatives/friends over there? If so, get them to buy them, send them over as a gift, and you won't have to pay customs. Handy as Christmas is round the corner too.

Since when did i have a 1.0 litre Lupo?

If you said a 1.4 sport then maybe, but not a 1.0 litre.

I can get the seats picked up by DHL for £75, so in total it will cost me around £200 to get them delivered to my door which isn't too bad. Am thinkin maybe just get the current seats done instead.

Completely off topic and blatant trollage. The guy asked about a particular colour seat!

Absolutely rubbish. Fitting decent buckets can be quite a lot of hassle becuase for them to work as they are intended, I'm pretty sure its advisable to have a 4 point harness? I could be wrong, but thought that was the case, so really thought it was prudent to mention it incase he didnt realise quite how much was involved. I questioned whether it was worth it in a car like a Lupo - generally buckets are better fitted into things like stripped out 205 GTI's where its worth the time, effort, hassle and money involved.

Bucket seats in a Lupo? Why ever not? :D

Thats a slightly different Lupo though as I'm sure you'll agree :D

But it illustrates my point - lot of work gone into that, and it has full harnesses. Is it worth it in an otherwise completely standard Lupo 1.4? It'll look a bit out of place.

What has any of that to do with the availability and shipping of green seats? Whether it's "worth it" or not in your eyes is neither here nor there, or even remotely relevant.

But this is a discussion forum, so I felt it worth mentioning. If you didn't, thats cool, you can just disregard my opinion.

If he wishes to know just availability and nothing more, he could telephone a supplier. On a forum like this, if he asks a question, he'll get replies ranging from the availability, which is what he wanted, to peoples opinions on what he is doing.

That’s the beauty of forums like this, so many views and opinions all in place. Some are relevant, some are worthless, some are very interesting, some very useful. Having them all together makes this place what it is – if all that ever happened was people posted tedious questions and the replies purely answered them and nothing more, how utterly dull do you think reading and posting here would be? It isn’t a technical support service.

Plus, you can often learn something new in the ensueing discussions. Usually when someone points out I'm wrong then posts a detailed explanation of why :D
