Car tax question

Very quick question,

If I SORN a car using the tax reminder form can i then re-tax it at a later date using the same reminder number? I would use the logbook but thats not with me at the moment.

All you'll need is the V5, the post office can get all the details up on their computer system and tax it from the 1st of the month.
