sister has an s reg 1.6 ford escort. it sounds good etc but one problem has developed.
when idling it can race for a few seconds by an increase in revs to about double that of normal.
it mostly happens when driving i.e keeping a constant speed is hard as if you keep your foot at 30mph the engine will increase in revs on its own..
doesn't sound like plugs or leads as it doesnt misfire and its not the accelerator cable. it sounds electronic so what could it be??
