If anyone here has a glass price guide, could they please provide me with the price range (s) for a 51-plate Ford Focus 1.6 ghia 5-door manual with 65K miles on it. It is good condition.
According to parkers, it is with 70K miles:
Franchised Dealer £3,320
Independent Dealer £3,105
Private Good £2,570
Private Poor £1,780

I need the argue the value of my car as it was involved in accident (i was not at fault) and my car is most likely going to be written off.
Thanks in advance guys :)

Get a quote of the cost of repair. They don't have the right to write it off as far as i'm aware unless the price of repair would be deemed unreasonable.

the car was taken to a approved repairer by my insurance company where it was assessed, the costs of repairs is near £2000 (more than 65% of the possible value of the car) so most likely it will be written off.
This is a a very inflated cost of repair mind :D

To be honest, most insurance companys offer the bottom book price on cars, I would not accept the first offer :D

i know but i have to ask for a realistic amount (value of car) hence i am asking for the glass guide valuation

Well as predicted the insurance company has deemed the car as being uneconomic to repair. I have to send in my V5, service history etc before they check/deem the value of the car.
