Carabao Cup - Fourth Round ** Spoilers ** [29th Sept - 1st Oct 2020]

Salah's the only real surprise in that side to be fair. It was clear from the last round that Klopp didn't want to play 2 kids at CB and I guess we'll see VVD play just 45 mins with one of Gomez or Fabinho coming on for the 2nd half. The rest of the side pretty much picks itself but Salah starting ahead of Origi and Elliott is a surprise. It will be interesting to know why Shaqiri isn't involved - has he pulled his calf again or could he be off?
I think it will be the latter, I'd rather him not go but been mentioned for awhile now.

Team we have put out is stronger than I expected, I'm glad minamino is starting too

Shaqiri's omission tonight is down to transfer interest from at least two clubs. No risk taken with him by #LFC as a result. No fitness issue.

I was just writing that but going to credit Neil Jones ;)

Hopefully something comes from it. We saw last season that Klopp doesn't fancy him and it's easy to understand why, he's a completely different type of player to any of our attackers and with Minamino settling in and the arrivial of Jota, he's not going to get a game.

It looks like Wilson is no closer to leaving though. James Pearce said that Burnley have offered £12m + 4m in add-ons for him but we're not willing to sell him on the cheap.

I think Wilson has only been chosen tonight on hope he has a blinder and makes Burnley up offer or get more interest etc.

I certainly wasn't expecting him to still be here let alone start tonight

To be fair i did give him the scoop.

I dont know how to embed tweets mate lol

Fully expect Liverpool to lose tonight but couldn't really care less, this cup has been a waste of time for many a year and they really shouldn't be playing any 1st teamer unless they're coming back from injury and need minutes

I don’t think either side cares really, the once a week schedule is ridiculous

Well Wilson has been abit poop thus far imo.

Can tell he hasn't played with any of first team squad before, last time was 2017 prior to tonight
