Carling Cup First Legs *Spoilers* (11/01/2011 - 12/01/2011)

Just watched the goals as I coundnt watch the match. So gutted with the result felt a draw would have been a fair result. We still in the tie so still a good chance we can get to the final. Why we didn't get a penalty is beyond me, I think it was Upson, he made no attempt to get the ball.

Foster seems like a great guy - but that kind of thing seems to happen all too regularly (still think he is a good purchase for Birmingham's level)

Jo Hart making his mistake on Sunday also......maybe its just the week for gk clangers :)

Rumoured Liverpool 11 for tonight:
-----------Reina
-Kelly--Skrtel--Agger--Wilson
Johnson-Lucas-Meireles-Maxi
---------Kuyt-Torres

If true it will be interesting to see how Johnson does on the wing. Also would be pleasently surprised to see Wilson at left back; had resigned myself to Konchesky still playing the odd game with Aurelio's fitness record.

Didn't know Liverpool were still in the carling cup. ;)

Appears that bullets are being sent through the post to football players. I never really note the going ons of Scottish football (apart from the fact it's ****) but hadn't realised this level of 'fuss' (?) still occurred.

Also quite interesting that Royal Mail found it during the transit. I wonder if they scan all mail from some places to another, or to football clubs, banks etc.?

Hope Ipswitch can do what Leeds did to Arsenal on saturday and not epic fail like that did against Chelsea.

Interesting tie considering the results on the weekend.

Well the rumoured 11 above was wrong.
-------------Reina
Johnson--Skrtel-Agger--Kelly
---------Poulsen-Lucas
Kuyt-------Meireles-----Jovanovic
------------Torres

Good to see we've stuck with the 4-2-3-1 but would have rather seen Maxi in for Poulsen with Meireles dropping back into the middle, although I guess we needed to rest a couple of players with the Everton game at the weekend.

With no Cole or Gerrard there isn't many more options open to us. Maxi could have played but you've got to assume he's being rested with the Derby at the weekend.

Well at least you've got someone to blame if it doesn't go your way.

Sky Sports have just teased Arsenal's line-up with "Szczesny in goal, Bendtner up front!" Geez thanks Sky, those are real shockers.

Ipswich v Arsenal line-ups:
Ipswich: Fulop, Peters, McAuley, Delaney, Kennedy, Edwards, Norris, Healy, O'Dea, Wickham, Priskin.
Subs: Lee-Barrett, Smith, Eastman, Civelli, Lambe, Murray, Hourihane.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Eboue, Koscielny, Djourou, Gibbs, Walcott, Denilson, Fabregas, Wilshere, Arshavin, Bendtner.
Subs: Shea, Vela, Ramsey, Song, Chamakh, Eastmond, Miquel.

Referee: Martin Atkinson (W Yorkshire)

Oh dear.

Arsenal first team. :/

Will be going to the away leg at the Emirates so let's hope we can scrape a draw or something. :o

I can see both Wickham and Priskin causing Arsenal problems if they get a bit of service.

Wow that is strong. Guess Wenger's not taking the chance of not playing Cesc and Walcott from the start here.

Also, Ramsey! \o/
