I'm going to be buying an E2220 to overclock and an 8800 gts 512 because its not that much more expensive than an 8800 gt. The motherboard will be a Gigabyte GA P35 DS3L. PC Gaming magazine ran a review of this motherboard a month or two ago and said that the northbridge and southbridge got "exceedingly hot".
Would a good size side fan help with this problem? OC sell the Xclio 6030 Plus at £35 (stock code CA-023-OK if you're interested) that has a massive 360mm fan with adjustable speed for silence versus cooling. The fan is "outside" of the case so my Arctic 7 pro fan should fit nicely.
Question is, is this type of fan just overkill for an overclock and would a nice looking Coolermaster with a fan in the front be just as good.
Thanks for any help with this.
