What a weird question, you have rang the branch and told them as they usually need 24 hours notice for a withdrawl over a few k as they dont float loads of money about. You simply walk in show some ID take money from cashier, count it and walk out. About 4 minutes and 23 seconds.

Unless the teller is an idiot and their pc dies. Then you might be looking at 10 minutes!!

Nah, don't forget we're in a recession, it will be more like 10 minutes, the bank will be sorry to see this much leave them.

You missed the bit where you try and stuff it in your pockets as discreetly as possible, then eye every single person with suspicion as you make your way out.

Well first, we take the mean average time for the initial teller-customer greeting. This will then move on to the teller opening the safe beneath her, which would usually take about 5 seconds, depending on arm length and dexterity. From then on, it is dependent on a number of variables, such as stamina, number of interruptions, and the arithmetical capability of the employee. Using the known value of 2 seconds per 20 pound note, and an extra 5 seconds after each £100, I hereby estimate the time taken to be 380 seconds +- 30 seconds. Basically, about 5 minutes.

This news just in, man withdrawing £2,000. Lloyds brought to its knees, London markets plumet, ripples spread to New York and Japan.;)

Uh, not long, it's not a particularly big deal to a bank.

I'm not one for posting in threads which I have no interest in, but why on earth would we care that you're withdrawing your own money from a bank? People do it every hour of every day.

The fact that you're asking how long it takes to conduct a simple transaction kind of makes me think you're going to try and withdraw money which isn't yours...
