Cat gone crazy wild

Are you threatening the OP?

Lol, i want to say yes, alas no.

As a previous poster has highlighted, i said neutered males have the smallest territory and are least likely to wander off. The further a cat wanders, the more roads it must cross, the higher the chance of it going under the wheel of a car :(

Just be aware that the feliway diffuser's can cause problems rather than solve them with some cats. Our male cat (who had been neutered) started weeing on everything whilst ours was plugged in, we unplugged it and it stopped.

We can only assume that the pheromones were making him feel that he needed to assert his 'ownership' on stuff 'cos nothing smelt right.

Additionally, we had also purchased a spray which is meant to have the same effect. We used it on a beanbag that he'd previously marked and he never went near it again. The pheromones are supposed to help them feel comforted, if that's the case we expected he'd be alright with it, but in actual fact, he would act scared of it from then on!

In answer to your aggression problem, +1 on the getting him chopped suggestion :)

Ah thats a shame its not always guaranteed to work.

OK guys I think I get the picture, get him neutured!

Sounds like some of you need it too! :D

My youngest cat does this.
He enjoys being stroked as he starts purring but it also irritates him.

He's most likely just having fun. It's normal for cats, especially at this time of year if I remember correctly from going home last x-mas.

Leave him be :)

*Edit*
And yes. He also thinks hands = toys. Best thing to do if he starts playing rough is to ignore him for a few hours. He'll get the point :)

The cat-alphaness is being stemmed by the evil ummies. When he realises what you've done he's gonna take a dump in your bed!

On a more serious note, you gotta do what you gotta do and it does sound like he needs the..... ummmmm..... the....... I'm sure you already know:(
