Cayman Radeon HD 6970 and 6950 launch December 15th

How much are these expected to be going for on OCuk?

£360 to £400 according to Gibbo and he said he was amazed at the performance compared to the price or something to that effect.

Current mood swing tells us the 69** range won't sell at all and be binned though.

For that price, yeah I'm not exactly going to be purchasing one any time soon! I just want to know of a decent mid-range graphics card that I can get for a build in the new year. Just to make sure that Nvidia and Ati aren't releasing an entirely new range soon?

Well these are high end cards, look at the 68** range for mid ranged.

Righto, well I can see however the Nvidia 560 GTX is expected early sometime next year after a quick internet search. I guess I could keep hold of my 8800GT for a good while even after I get the new PC all setup in the new year.

IF thats the case it does explain the below statement he made earlier....

Our launch price will be pre-discounted, no need for TODAY ONLY deals. :D

ALL ocuk stuff are pre-discounted :p

He also said that they would go up in price in the next couple of weeks and launch price would be the cheapest that they are.

So a £360 to £400 card which may be over £400 in a few weeks should really perform much, much better than the leaked results so far.
