I found an interesting read on another forum regarding some new retail Cellshock DDR3 1800mhz, 8-6-7-21 latency memory. Someone managed to overclock the 2GB's of memory to an impressive DDR3-2000mhz @ 7-6-5-18 1T Prime_Pi Stable using only 2.1v. This was done on the Asus blitz board. Other people who brought this ram were also getting really impressive results but not quite on par with the bloke who get the 2000mhz, 76518 timings. But 1930mhz @ 7-7-6-20 with 2.0v was quite easily achieved by all 3 people who tested them. I'm not saying it could be the same for everyone who brought these sticks but its looking really promising ram. Also this Cellshock ram is a lot cheaper, i only found it on one uk site but it was only £310 pounds thats a lot cheaper then the current offerings from corsair (1800 7-7-7-20 @2.0v) ram which currently costs around £430. To some people £310 seems still quiet an excessive amount to pay for DDR3 ram but it shows the prices are slowly falling. I was originally going to buy the Corsair sticks but now i have come across this cellshock which can overclock so impressively i've changed my mind.
Have a look on google model number "CS3222580" for anyone who is interested.

"It is important to note that overclocker CellShock modules boast relatively low nominal voltage set at about 1.7-1.9V. It gives us some hope for high overclocking potential above the claimed default specs."

Well Corsair 1800 low timings ram uses 2.0v as does Supertalents new 1800 ram, so it seems there is headroom. Someone pushed them cellshocks to 2.43v before he hit problems with the ram. It guess at this early stage companies are still trying to find out the limits of these new micron d9 chips, what they can tolerate in terms of volts. Obviously corsair felt at 2.0v it was safe enough to release onto the market. But i do agree i wouldn't like to push much more then 2.1/2v. Even at 2.0v corsair/cellshock all advise having a memory cooling airflow cooling the ram. I think Corsair supply the Dominator Memory Cooler with there 1800 ddr3 kits.

310£ for 1 or 2GB?
And i'll probably be getting DDR3 for next build, will have a lot of money to spend on that next year, and i'm obsessed with windows performance now as well as games performance, will get a good SSD too now that Seagate is moving there.

Yeah i checked the site today it was £314.99. Still thats a good £125 pounds cheaper than the Corsair Dominator DDR3 1800 (7-7-7-20 @2.0v) memory. I think the main advantage the Cellshock DDR3 1800 (8-7-6-21 @1.7/8v) ram has is the fact that its volts are at 1.7v were as the Corsair and Supertalents ram needs 2.0v to achieve them timings/mhz. That gives the Cellshock 1800 0.3v to play with just to be on par with the other 2 brands of ram. A lot of potentail overclocking headroom. As i said with good ram cooling 2.1v should be the limits Id put through DDR3 ram at this time, from reading what over people are saying.

The site keeps changing the price its £311 but for 4gb u would be looking at £626.50 as postage is £3.50, well expensive but if you want the best i guess you got to pay the premium. Its still £130 cheaper then the Corsairs kit and if u wanted 4GB u would be looking at £260+ savings, still quite substantial price difference between the two.

Anandtech have just compared the best 1600/1800fsb ram check it out.

Hopefully prices will being to fall a bit, they already are on the way. Combined with Penryn & Nehalem, that should make it worthwhile.

See i told you all way back before these kits even came out what a gem these were. I saw these the other day on another site at less then half the price i paid for them, definitely worth purchasing.

Aye high speed DDR3 is sucky now after hearing it obliterates i7's. Would probably void the warranty if the mem controller burns out that way as they will know 100% you put too much v's through it, and not replace it..

Still, if you're sticking with Core 2 then it's nice to have. A bit pricey for me though..
