We're thinking about having a week at Center Parcs in February, I've been before to the Sherwood Forest one but can't remember much (blame beer) apart from the fact that it was a good laugh & it had some cool things to do, laser clay shooting, ten pin bowling, crazy golf etc.
Has anyone got any negatives about the other ones as we're not sure which one to choose & obviously the brochures say they're all brilliant:)

Apart from the expense there's not much I can say bad about my times at Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest, there's enough to occupy you for a week and loads of places to throw kids away and get some quiet time, I always picture Center Parcs quite a posh place to go, although I haven't been since I was about 10.

If you liked Sherwood, go there again? Wasn't it the 1st? 1st the best :p

I went ages ago with my dad and sister. It was pretty cool, although I was about 9 at the time, so I don't know if I'd enjoy it now, no idea what there is there.

Center Parcs is a really fun place to go. The best i have been to was in Holland for a week, its amazing.

I'm 21 and I went to centre parks when i was like 14/15/16/17 and I absolutly enjoyed every single minuit of it. Plenty air, great pools and atmosphere. There is plenty to do for ALL age groups. I love their pool they have I used to go into the plunge pool. Its my all time fav uk holiday place.

i think it's a great place to unwind and relax; you do as much or little as you want. drawbacks are the price and the weather possibly hindering your pursuits. i think they have a rule that if you are a youngster orclearly on a lads holiday type then you need some girls on the trip - easily avoided i know.

what good is that you can have extra guests - they could come for the day or stay local and come for the day.

the water rapids were spectacular in my childhood. all in all its nice - not spectacular but nice.

i live about 3 miles from there :p

apparently they bend you over the barrel at every oppurtunity.

Aye, it's quite ironic that I live a stones throw away but have never been. I go through the pines most days on my bike, and I always see a lot of non-local folk. Must be a popular place anyway :p

I went to the one in Elveden Forest a few months ago, and it was amazing. The only thing I would say about it (and I don't know whether this is true of every one) is that all the restaurants/bars closed at about 10-11pm, which wasn't much good if you fancied a later night out. Other than that, no complaints at all - it was a fantastic holiday!

We go to Center Parcs every year with a big group.

It's a great place to go and relax, eat some nice food, go swimming and just chill out.

The activities are great and they have spas and beauty treatments for the lazier buggers amongst you.

I think ive been to most of the UK midlands type ones now.

Elvedon has to be my favourite by far, probably because of people ive met there too though. But it is generally flat to get everywhere and because it caught fire [wasnt me guv] they had to rebuild a lot, so its kinda newish.. even though i kinda liked the way it was before its still very nice. Best restaurant: it rotates, with large windows that overlook the lake, so you cant complain you didnt get a good view [expensive]

Longleat, probably my second favourite, even though.. prepare to give those thighs a workout. Lots of biking up hills depending on where you stay, especially as the lake is down at the bottom and plaza at the top. Some good restaurants in the plaza.

Nottingham, Sherwood.. all the others, too generally centre parcs for me to remember any specifics + it being a long time since ive been to one. Nonetheless ive only been to these other centre parcs once, which is why i cant remember the name of the rest of them. Ive been to longleat probably 3 times and Elvedon more so, tantamount to its quality.

Only been to the sherwood one, but i love it. Im probably one of the laziest peopel you could ever meet, but i love going there as theres loads to do. Be prepared to spend a lot of money though, as nothing is free apart from the pool.

To be honest, stack yourself with food when you go and live in the pool.. its the best bit..

Ive been when i was 12/13/14/15 ive been to the sherwood forest resort three times the longleat once and the lakes one once, i have to say its a great place to go as a child so much atmosphere to the place everyone having a good time its very pleasent and i have some fond memories from going, yea its expensive but imo its worth every penny if you throughly enjoy somthing and have excellent memories for the rest of your life. You MUST rent or take a bike theres so much exploring to do and yes the pool at sherwood is awesome with the rapids being a personal favourite. To summarise if you have to go to any go to Sherwood Forest resort its truly awesome and im looking forward to the next break with them whenever that may be. :)

Got it in one

Longleat as has been said already is hard work cycling up from the lake. Although the upside is that its next to Longleat Safari park if you fancy a day out.

Other than that, I've only been to Elveden and that was fantastic.
