Also, the 3M cannot cover the whole bonnet on most cars, their rolls of film aren't wide enough, another reason I prefer the Xpel.
Generally I have xpel ultimate on the bonnet, front bumper, mirrors and front wings. If you need a tougher film then 3M is a fine choice but it possesses a lot more orange peel, cannot cover large panels and cannot self heal scratches in the sunlight.

What was the cost of the Ceramishield again?
Sonax do a great sealant called Polymer Net Shield (PNS). There's some good reviews over on Detailing World and it's cheap to order from CYC at around £13 for a unit. That'll do the car 3 times at least.

Then top that up with Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer (BSD) every other wash. BSD is getting rave reviews from many on DW as it acts more like a sealant for 6+ weeks than a Quick Detailer. When it costs £13 for a 750ml spray bottle or ~£40 for a 5L can, you can understand why it's getting soo much attention. Just go look at the beading pictures

I'm picking up the above to keep my new M135i looking pretty and protected!
Q² MOHS+ is a professional set of ceramic automotive paint coating, dedicated for authorized detailers only.
Containing our hardest Q² MOHS coating and Q² PHOBIC top coat, it ensures the highest quality and an incomparable visual effect amongst ceramic coatings.
Q² PHOBIC is a highly advanced top-coat, developed especially to be applied on ceramic paint coating. It gives hydrophobic effect, increases the self-cleaning abilities, extends durability and prevents the coating from water spots in its first few weeks after application.
So its time to get my cars detailed again.
So is there anything new on the market now or should I go with the Ceramishield again?
Thanks for the link, I will take a look.
It costs around £200 for the Ceramishield.
I am being offered Max Protect for £175 per car (need to do 4 cars)

I'm more interested to hear how the original ceramishield treatment looked nearly two years later.
Is that for just the coating liquid itself or for it to be applied to 4 cars?
I don't suppose you know of any tests into these and other products showing long they last after a number of months, that goes out to everyone on here?
I'm sure these fancy coatings are great, but they are very expensive for what they are when a decent sealant and Sonax BSD as above will keep your car protected, water sheeting and cost relative peanuts in comparison.
Apply an amazing sealant twice a year, use the BSD every so often and get the same result.
Thats the cost to do a full detail including the coating, about 8 to 9 hours per car so the coating is really only an extra £30 ish pounds.
