I have Champ Man 2006 on my laptop and can't put it down... in fact i have become such an addict I was thinking about getting a more mobile version on my PSP so i can play it when im out and about. My only concern is that it will fall short of the pc version gameplay wise.

Any know how the two compare?

Step away from the PSP...

Seriously, the Champ Man (even on the PC) series sucks major ass ever since SI Games stopped the development of it.

If your looking for a Footy Management game, the get Football Manager Handheld. It blows the recent Champ Man games out of the water!

another person that can't answer your PSP woes... but FM2006 is better than this years CM2006... this years was a step in the right direction for the CM series, but its still not as good as FM imo :)

ok... thanks for all your views on what the best footy management game is but thats not what I asked. I know the history of champ man and footy man etc, and have played them both but prefer champ man.!!!

I just want to know how it compares on the PSP - I dont want to get footy man on the PSP as it doesnt show you the match.

So, in short - has anyone actually played Champ Man 2006 on the PSP? If so, how do you like it?

im not a big fan of managerial games, but have recently been playing with my housemates, we play Football Manager though, they both agree its miles better then Champ Man

I think the fact that CM 06 PSP is now being reduced and sold with a free 256 pro duo only a few months after release speaks volumes, they are blatently trying to shift copies of a pap game.

I trust SI a lot more than Eidos, and if FM06 PSP doesn't have a flashy match engine then its because the PSP couldn't handle one good enough, i have serious doubts that you'll find the PSP version even half as rewarding as the flawed PC version.

The signs are there :p

I have champ man on psp and i would have to say avoid. I havn't played the pc version so i can't say if it is a good representation of that, but it is poor on the psp.

Thanks once again for all your opinions on which is the best footy manager game - personally I prefer CM, I am not saying it's better than FM but it's easier to navigate etc for a noob like me. I had a go on FM and it just looked sooo complicated after playing CM.

Maybe I will graduate up to FM one day but for now CM keeps me happy.

Now once again how does CM2006 PSP compare to CM2006 PC - I dont care which YOU THINK is the best, really I dont!!!

Okay... it's a really bad version of a really terrible game. Avoid.

You really dont get what I am saying do you... I actually like the game I don't give a flying frack if any of you think it's crap or not - I simply want to know if anyone has played both PC and PSP versions and if so how they compare!

It's a simple premis really and I dont understand why you are all finding this so difficult to get your heads around!

If I wanted to know what people think of CM2006 or what you all consider to be the best footy manager game I would have asked that question, but I didn't, I asked how the PSP version compares to the PC version - and please, don't just reply with it's carp or says it smells because I actuallty want some info like any features which may have been cut out of the hand held version etc.

mate its the same when u ask anything about the PSP, you get told just buy a DS on here, i mean ask how long the battery lasts 'it sucks get a DS' ask 'is the screen good on a PSP' get 'its not a touch screen and anyway the PSP sucks get a DS'
Same if you ask any questions about the PS3 'can anyone give me any reliable info about the PS3?' u get 'Its gonna be expensive [which they dont know for sure] get an xbox360 its out just now'

can get irritating sometimes, just need to know what questions to avoid.

**wonders off thinking if i was cynical i'd see a patern**

[edit] try eurogamer there is a review on there, i would link but cant due to a link on the page of the review

He is not asking for a review of the game compaired to FM, he didnt even ask for how good people thought the 'championship manager' games are he is asking how well the PSP version mirrors its PC counterpart. He has catagorically stated he doesnt give two hoots if people think the CM games are bad, he wants to know how the PSP compairs to the PC version. I think it is because he enjoys the CM games, it has an interface he is familiar with etc etc etc.
His original question never gets answered unless someone who owns/did own both has posted and i missed it.
TBH i bet the majority of people on here who told him to avoid it, havent even played the PSP version (in fact i bet a fair few of them dont even own a PSP)

at least people are offering advice and comments rather than ignoring his thread, the chances of anyone here having champ manager is slim let alone having both a psp and pc version. i don't see why you've felt the need to moan and be rather aggressive in this thread. unfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone can help him with his specific problem, but at least we're trying.

he might like to sign up to the gamespot or official sony forums for a larger audience. alternatively, reading some reviews may give him an idea as usually reviewers will compare to the console or pc counterpart.

personally i'd buy the game from a highstreet store that has a no quibble refund policy and return it if it sucks.

I wasnt be particularly agreesive, it was in reply to nokkon saying people thought it was a bad game when the OP had stated on several occasions that he knew FM was the more popular choice but he wasnt caring. As nokkon said if he asks the same question he will get the same answer, but to be honest he keeps asking the same question, to which he has never goten an answer from
If you notice i did try to be helpfull in my first reply to his post telling him (like yourself) to look on Eurogamer. So i didnt purely come in to the thread to moan, but i do see the guys frustrations, and they where being ignored so i was also trying to help him.
I agree probably best thing to do would be to buy it from game and if they dont like it then take it back.
