Champions League Spoilers 21st/22nd Feb

Crespo has been excellent recently and will provide a much bigger goal threat with his lethal finishing than donkey Drogs.

Also, its been proven time and time again that Duff & Robben cant play on the wings in the same 11, both of them are too left footed and lack the work rate that will be needed tonight.

There were 2 different versions shown, 1 with it crossing the line and 1 not. Can't remember where or when i saw them though
I can never get my head around this argument. As you've already said, regardless of whether it went in or not, Chelsea should've had their keeper sent off and a penalty awarded against them. They only looked like scoring with 11 men in the last few minutes of the game so with 10 men what makes everyone think they would've scored? Yes it was a lucky goal but it stood and we won 1-0 over the two legs. Did Chelsea score? No! Regarding the comments about Liverpool being lucky in the final, weren't Milan lucky to beat PSV with a late goal and wasn't Shevchenko lucky not to have been suspended for a blatant elbow? While the winners of a league are usually the most consistent team over a season every team needs a bit of luck to win a knockout competition.

Edit: Good luck Chelsea :)

I reckon it'll be:

GK- Cech
DR- Ferreira
DC- Carvalho
DC- Terry
DL- Del Horno
DMC- Makelele
MC- Eidur
MC- Lampard
AMR- Cole/Duff
AML- Robben
ST- Drogba

That's assuming Maka is passed fit of course & I'm not sure if Eidur is available or not to be honest.
Gallas will be missed that's for sure as Carvalho can be a liability against players who tumble easy when their shirts get tugged a little. I think Drogba might start ahead of Crespo too, just for his defensive work.

Wouldnt suprise me to see Drogba get selected just because he can put himself about and Puyol can be unsettled by strong players. Not sure if Eidur is available either, think he is injured but not sure as he didnt play at the weekend.

i think eidur was rested on weekend, terry and gallas were suspended but gallas is of course injured. as Essien is suspended tonight i think eidur will definitely be playing there.

Wow,15 pages already and Chelsea haven't even played their match yet :)

I agree with someone earlier in the thread in that i'd quite like to see all the british clubs doing well in europe, unless they are playing us.But i still reserve the right to take the p once they get knocked out and would expect no different in return. If only for the pragmatic reason that the further our teams get then our 4 cl places will remain.Man U and Everton going out early has not helped our points tally. So good luck Chelsea and Rangers

PFFFFT I so would like to be at the Bridge!
I saw Chelski - Barca in 2000, 3-1 to us!
I didnt get tickets last year :/ And today I wont even see it in a West London Pub:(

Instead im in cold snowy Sweden.

I reckon it will be 3-1 to The Blues.
1-0. 2-0. 2-1 and 3-1 on the counter attack with barca pressing.

From a Liverpool fan im just going to say:

Good Luck to Chelsea tonight, im going to the pub to watch the game with a few mates, none of whom are chelsea fans but i know we will all be cheering if they score!

Mark.

surprised belletti is not at right back for barca - he was outstanding last year. seems barca have learnt from their cavalier approach and are slightly restrained in the middle
