**Champions Online F2P**

Its bloomin confusing this game i hate stats so atm im just getting things from missions with recovery or endurance (im an inferno). As told http://www.champions-online-wiki.com/wiki/The_Inferno

Inventory isnt really like sto or the interface well ok it kinda is but its different enough to confuse you.

I made an inferno and made a ghost rider character called GhostRida. ;) Looks cool enough no chains tho :(

Too many things to do in tutorial i wanted to be playing proper by now and i have been in tut for about an hour or two. I have got to level 2. Im helpin atm the cheif i think s somit or other and just done a mission to help 5 civilians.

Tbh im bloody lost as to how to level up and get better the interface really isnt user friendly at all imo. Too much info to take in which i hate as with sto at least i knew all the trek technobabble to get by quickly but in this game which is a super hero game for which i dont really care for tbh im only playing cos its free haha.

Anyhow, how r u all getting on, anyone confused like me and how r u managing with the stuff.

I completely agree that it is difficult to get into at first - you get used to it quickly though.

Be sure to play this with an xbox controller too, it is so much better!

Cool. Is that a ice toon? What are they like?

I have a 360 controller i thought it was ok but i couldnt remember how to target with it so ended up not playing proper with it due to attacks not working grr.
 
Ice is pretty weak tbh - but it suits the look and is a fun build. My other "main" toon is a force/regen build - he is pretty darn tough.

Worth sticking with the 360 controller - much easier once you get used to it in this game.

I quite like the changes they have made - some fun stuff in the c-store too.
 
I played this for a couple of months when it first came out, got fed up with the lack of teaming and broken missions. Got a toon to max level then never played again.

Currently playing DConline very similar games to play, Champions has far more options for your toons though but im not sure how much will be available FTP.
 
I played a trial of this once and really wanted to get the full version but as I was playing WoW did not want to subscribe to 2 games that required time to play them. WIll definately be giving this another go now thanks for the info.

The great thing is, it has all been fixed, improved and has new zones/missions now. Why play DCUO when you can play CO for free :p
 
Anyone else having issues with install this on Steam? ive signed up but the download screen goes blank after a few seconds :(

EDIT: Nevermind, i used IE to get the EXE, i thought it would install through steam.

Mhhhmh I quit 2 weeks into release of the original game, now it seems my characters are completely gone. I understand it wouldn't show on the in game character selection since it's a free account.

However, on "my characters" page it is no longer there, did they actually wipe everyone's character, or those un-subscribed for some time? Either way, what a load of crap :(, I'm not subbing to find that out and no mention on the FAQ that I can see.

They should still be there. However you need to pay to make them "free to play". Contact customer support, they are pretty good.
 
The game has changed for the better now, i started again and the starting quests for Millenium City are brilliant, the fact i go undercover and assault a secret hideout instead of killing 20-50 of these and your done is a lot more enjoyable.
