I have a Vodafone contract which isn’t over, but the phone is hardly working and need it for work. They have told me that I can pay the remainder of the contract with totals £65. So not too bad.
I have settled on a new phone and contract, a HD2 with T-mobile through Mobiles direct.

Do I contact Vodafone and request my PAC code for transfer as I order new phone or after?
1. Does this terminate the contract?
a. As I need to be contactable 100% of the time with my usual number

2. Or when I give the PAC to Mobiles direct does that cancel and Vodafone contract, then they charge me the whole amount. ?? So many questions.

The problem is I NEED the same number with no downtime.
What do I do and is it possible?

Edit - Vodafone direct dont do the HTC range apart from the Tatto and MAgic. I am able to upgrade but there range sucks

Sorted it all out. Got a HD2 from Mobiles direct using the Tmobile network. should get it in a day or so. then give Tmobile a call with my PAC so they can transfer the number.

Somtimes all it takes is to say it out load or write it down to understand. LOL and im in IT.....
