Cheap central hotels in Liverpool?

Travel lodge says £70 for a Saturday night stay, thats right near Lime Street.

Premier Inn costs more and doesn't bed as many.

Anyone?

The trouble with a Sat night is that, like Manchester, there is always a premiership home game on so prices are upped. there are some serviced appartments near Liverpool One if you have a group.

Take the travel lodge before it fills up, its a pain getting a room at the weekend.

You could try Formule 1, it is near the centre, between Liverpool One and the Albert Dock. It is cheap, apparently.

Do not go there!, if you need somewhere cheap cheap, over the road is the Dolby hotel. http://www.dolbyhotels.co.uk/ cheap but quite cheerful.

I think there's another Travel Lodge or Travel Inn (same company?) just outside the city centre. Private cabs are dirt cheap up here so you could save a bit by staying out of central Liverpool.

As Bill101's already pointed out the football means that there's always one home team on a weekend. Spurs are coming up so with the distance involved plenty will come to stay on Saturday night.

Prices will chop and change on there all the time. Usually get something decent for cheap.
