Cheap Gaming PC, Spec improvements

There isnt really a budget, but I have been trying to price up a very cheap gaming pc.

I know psu's are important, but was trying to find a cheaper one that looked decent. Would need to upgrade to a better gpu, and i5 at some point.

Am I right in thinking, the cheaper (other chipset) motherboards dont allow for overclocking the i5's? Thinking stuff like usb3, pcie3 is the main differences.

May still end up putting off getting it until something better can be bought. Aim was for Bf3, med settings at most. highest res possible, but would reduce it to get better fps.

Your on the money with that spec, not much can be done to make it cheaper.

That board does indeed allow overclocking of "K" CPU's and has IB support with PCI-E3.0, one thing you can do is use the XFX core 550w PSU which is a very good unit.

I'll look at the other psu.

Taken some time but its a slow progress of converting a ps3 user.

ive just converted from ps3. That graphics card is great plenty of bang for buck you wont regret converting. crucial ballistix is a fiver cheaper if you want to make it as cheap as possible or want to put another fiver into something else
