Can anyone recommend me the above?

At the moment i am speccing up a build and i have a Asus P5LD2 paired with X300 but i want to bring the price of the build down somewhat. Any ideas?

Oh, and are there any full ATX mobo's that have onboard???

Cheers mate that gives me some more options to consider.

I had found the Gigabyte GA-8I945GMF which supports the same intel 945 chipset but also has four DIMM sockets and therefore would possible be better for future upgrades!

What do you think? the gigabyte vs the abit suggested above?

my experience with the lg81 was that it had issues when clocking over 220mhz fsb, seems the pci-express bus is dropping to around 90mhz giving no boot. you can clock the pci-express to around 115+ but ATi and SATA doesnt really like this.

You have to set the PSB to 1066 - then it will go up to 299 FSB. It's an Intel chipset lock that Abit were required to implement, then they built in a little workaround. ;)

http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=73569 shows that it can be done :D

And to answer your previous question - I have 6 Abit boards in the house, and no Gigabyte boards, so I'm a bit biased.
