I currently don't have a sound card cause my mobo has on-board SoundStorm. However, I'm upgrading (prob. to a Gigabyte DS3), and I don't want to have to make do with on-board sound. Would a cheap sub-£20 Sound Blaster Audigy be ok to power a basic Cambridge Audio stereo amplifier and £60 Eltax speakers?

I have a Audigy SE that I bought for £20 2 years ago, and it is TONNES better than my DS3 (965p) onboard audio. The difference is astonishing, even for such a cheap card. Shows how awful onboard sound is.

Though my M-Audio Revolution 5.1 is about 9x better than this Audigy haha.
